PROMOTION OF PARTURITION, PREVENTION OF RETAINED PLACENTA
COMPOSITION: Each 100ml contains:
Oxytocin..................................................................... 1,000 IU
INDICATIONS:
Promotion of involution uterus, expulsion of the fetuses easily, prevention of retained placenta, stimulation of milk let-down in cases of agalactia.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection:
* Cows:
- Promotion of parturition: 7-10 ml per head.
- Promotion of milk let-down: 1-2.5 ml per head.
*Sows:
- Promotion of farrowing: 3-5 ml per head.
- Promotion of milk let-down: 0.5-2 ml per head.
*Dogs:
- Promotion of parturition: 0.5-2 ml per head.
- Promotion of milk let-down: 0.2-1 ml per head. Repeat after 3-4 hours if necessary.
